Adopted For Life
In this film you will five adopted young adults sharing experiences of transitioning into adulthood and their shared views on what support they have benefited from & would like to see more of. We premiered 'Adopted for life' at PAC-UK's 'Voices of adopted people: Messages for change' event during National Adoption Week 2021. The event was a huge success, with over 200 people attending - this is the first time the film has been shared publicly. A huge thank you from all at PAC-UK to our incredible Adopteens for sharing their stories.
This work was commissioned by the One Adoption as part of National Adoption Week 2021
Who?
We are a project built and designed by adopted teenagers for adopted teenagers. Adopteens has over 50 members and still rapidly growing. Most young people who become part of the project stay part of the project. So if you are adopted, live in Yorkshire and Humber and are aged between 11-18 why not get in touch.

Why?
Adopted teenagers felt there was a gap in the market for a unique group like this which covers such a wide area. They wanted the chance to meet other adopted teenagers where they can just be themselves in a safe, caring, fun and understanding environment away from parents, workers and school!!

Where?
Our project is based in Leeds but runs events throughout the Yorkshire and Humber Region; we aim to make it fair for all adoptees by running them in different places.
We have also found members like trying out new things in new places.
