Activity Days 2018

In April we held an activity day at Ingleton Falls. This was a beautifully scenic walk and at times a bit of a challenge due to the steepness in places. We saw some amazing waterfalls which were pretty spectacular owing to the amount of rain there had been over the previous months!

The group did amazingly well completing such a long walk! Lunch was definitely enjoyed on a well-deserved break half way round with ice creams a bit later on at one of the most remote places you might ever find an ice cream van!

The most recent activity day was on 29th May and was at The Open Nest, La Rosa, North Yorkshire. This amazing place not far from Goathland is available for families or groups to come and spend time away from it all. The group of kids who came along spent time working on, and listening to poetry. Our members came up with some amazing pieces and many were brave enough to share their words with the rest of the group. We have some very talented young people and we hope to share some of their work with you all soon!

Activity days are for all adopted teens in the Yorkshire and Humber area who have signed up to the Adopteens Project. Our members really enjoy catching up with each other at activity days and our Youth Council. They also keep in touch via our online chat forum or and by setting up their own group chats via social media.
